Eric Castro (Knuckle Up) vs Serge Grubnyak (Hard Knock)
Serge sets up a big 112 with some leg kicks and seems to rock Eric early. They trade a number of big shots and clinch up. The ref separates them but it is already looking like a war. Eric is a powerful striker sending big shots but Serge is quick and accurate. Eric drops his left hand on the kicks and Serge is countering with a big overhand right each time and if finds a home. Eric wavers in but his chin stays strong. They trade a few more and the round ends.
Round 2 Serge uses a right leg kick to right straight combo to close distance. Eric appears much stronger int he clinch but is unable to do any damage as Serge stays really tight in the clinch. For the 3rd time now, Serge was able to catch one of Eric’s kicks but didn’t do much with it. Serge has landed a few significant right body kicks and it looks to be taking a toll. Eric is frustrated with being unable to mount a significant offense and is shows when he walks back to his corner after the round.
Round 3 Serge continues to surgically attack the left side of Eric’s face. After several punches and kicks to the right side, Eric feints another right kick to the body and throws a spinning backfist to counter Serge’s counter, it lands great and Serge is stunned momentarily. He regains his composure quickly and comes at him with a series of punches that leave Eric rocked but standing as the round comes to a close.
